I have placed "sizzler
ratings" next to books read, even if the review
hasn't been added at this time.

FIDELITY (1995) |
Sub-category:
Generation-X
The plot: The story revolves
around the terrible mess Rob's life has become as he enters
his middle-30's. His girlfriend, Laura has left him, leaving
him compiling "Top 5" lists in his clique (but rundown) record
store. Slowly, bit by bit, Rob manages to start piecing his
life back together again.
Comment: Although I am not
that fond of books that start and end at one spot in someone's
life, this book did reveal a few secrets, frustrations, passions
and tips of the singles dating scene in the lonely yet "me-orientated"
90's. The way in which they were revealed was quite amusing
and bound to leave you gushing out loud, "I thought only I
did that!" (That is, if you are a single person in the 90's!).
