NIGHT
OF THE SEVENTH DARKNESS |
Sub-category:
Religious horror
The plot: As Angelina, a
haitian woman married to an American, Rick, return home after
several months overseas, Angelina smells something 'fusty'
in the apartment. As settling into routine with Rick in New
York seems unbearable to Angelina, her whole world is turned
upside down with the appearance of a weird video by the their
house-minder. Suddenly Rick is dead and bodies are being unhearthed
in her apartment. Reuben is the detective assigned to investigate
her case - and even he isn't prepared for the trail of blood
to follow...
Comment: A truly gruesome
book investigating some of the more sickening and depraved
side of religion and 'humanity' you could not find. Although
the book never really picks up speed, there is enough of a
plot - and more promises of horrors - to keep you turning
pages. And you won't guess the ending until literally the
last sentence - DO NOT READ IT FIRST!
