Well, the New York Times may think Alan Rickman is going to be in
the stage play, Whose Afraid of Virginia Wolfe? But the devoted
and lucky fans who are subscribers to the Alan
Rickman Email list AND have been lucky enough to chat with Da
Man after Private Lives, all unanimously say that Alan, when
asked if he will be in above mentioned play, laughs and says, "No,
he will not be appearing in Whose Afraid of Virginia Wolfe...
Thanks to the fans on the Email list keeping us not-in-New-York
fans informed!

Well, now that Private Lives is in its final weeks in New
York, its time for the rumour machine of upcoming projects for Alan
Rickman to crank into gear! This week tells us that he may be returning
to stage sooner than expected. According to the New
York Post, Alan Rickman is being considered for the role of
"George" in Whose Afraid of Virginai Wolfe? Although
it is great that the great Alan Rickman gets to stride the floorboards
soon, its also nice when he's in movies - more accessible to his
large fan base!

A spy deeply buried in Warner Bros, has leaked details to Harry
Knowles' "Aint
it Cool" website about the upcoming Harry Potter and
the Chamber of Secrets film. Although comments about Alan Rickman
were sparse (well restricted to one actually), it would appear that
once again, the man is underutilised in his magnificent portryal
of Snape... Be warned though - there is a Harry Potter Book 5 spoiler
in this lengthy rant/rave - overstepped the boundaries of spoilers
if you ask me!

According to Teletext.com,
Alan Rickman and Colin Firth are set to star with Hugh Grant, Emma
Thompson, Liam Neeson, Laura Linney and Rowan Atkinson in Richard
Curtis's film, (Four Weddings and A Funeral, Notting Hill) Love

in nicely with the end of Private Lives on the New York
